Enable Email on Your CDNShark Domain
If your domain uses CDNShark DNS, enabling email is one click: all the DNS records are published for you.
Steps
- Open Email in the portal.
- In the Domain list, pick your domain (it shows "— no email").
- Click Enable Email, choose the Plan / tier, and click Enable Email.
That's it. MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are added to your domain's DNS, and you can create mailboxes straight away (see Create a Mailbox).
- No plan yet? The button says Buy a plan to enable; see Buy Mailbox Seats.
- The domain must be an active CDN domain on your account.
- DKIM keys are generated by the mail servers a moment later. The DNS tab shows "Waiting for the mail server to generate keys" until then.
Before you enable it on a domain that already has email
Enabling email replaces your domain's existing MX and SPF records. Mail starts arriving at CDNShark immediately, so mail to your old provider stops.
- Create your mailboxes right after enabling, so no mail bounces.
- If you also send mail through another service (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, a website contact form…), see Send Mail From Other Services With Your Domain.
- To bring over old messages, see Move Existing Email to CDNShark.
