Buy Mailbox Seats
A seat is the right to one mailbox. Buy as many as you need mailboxes; aliases don't use seats.
Steps
- In the portal, open Email.
- Click Buy Mailboxes.
- Plan: each option shows the storage per mailbox and the price per seat.
- Quantity: how many mailboxes (1–100 per purchase).
- Click Buy.
If you have enough account credit, it's paid automatically and the seats are ready straight away. Otherwise you're taken to checkout; the seats become active once the invoice is paid.
How billing works
- The first charge is prorated to your account's next renewal date, so your services renew together.
- You're billed for every seat you own, whether or not you've created a mailbox on it.
- Your seat price is locked in when you buy. Buying more of the same plan later adds a new batch at that day's price; one renewal invoice lists both.
- Renewal invoices are created 5 days before the due date and paid from credit automatically when possible.
Good to know
- Seats belong to a plan, and each domain uses one plan. A seat on plan A can't hold a mailbox on a domain using plan B.
- Deleting a mailbox frees its seat for a new mailbox but doesn't reduce your bill. To reduce the number of seats you pay for, contact support.
- If you change your mind before paying, cancel the unpaid order under Orders. An unpaid invoice left overdue can lead to your services being suspended.
