Roll Back to an Earlier Version
If a deploy breaks your site, put a previous version back in seconds.
Steps
- Open your hosting account → Git, and the repository's gear icon.
- Under Versions, find the commit you want. The one that's currently live has a green live badge.
- Click Deploy this version and confirm.
The folder now matches that commit exactly: files changed since then are restored, and files added after it are removed. Untracked files such as uploads aren't touched.
After a rollback
- The repository's row shows rolled back and which commit is live, so it's clear the newest commit isn't.
- Your branch isn't changed. The next push or Pull & Deploy deploys the newest commit again. Fix the problem in a new commit first, or revert the bad commit (
git revert) and push.
Good to know
- The Versions list shows the last 50 commits of the deploy branch, 5 per page.
- Recent deploys lists the last 50 deploys: when, which commit, how (push, panel or rollback) and whether it worked.
- If the CDN still shows the old page, use Clear the CDN Cache for Your Sites.
- Rollback covers files from Git only, not your database. For a database, see Backups and Downloading a Backup.
