Domain to IP
Resolve a domain to its IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
Resolve a hostname to every address it points at — IPv4 and IPv6 — and see the reverse DNS for each one. Handy for confirming a site is behind the CDN or origin you expect.
Frequently asked questions
Why does one domain return several IP addresses?
Large sites publish multiple addresses so traffic is spread across servers, and CDNs return whichever edge is closest to the resolver asking. Seeing several addresses, or different ones over time, is normal.
What is reverse DNS?
A PTR record maps an IP address back to a hostname. It is set by whoever controls the IP block, so it often names the hosting provider rather than the website.
