How long does DNS propagation take?
Usually it is bounded by the TTL of the old record. If the previous record had a one-hour TTL, resolvers that cached it can keep serving the old value for up to an hour. Lowering the TTL a day before a planned change shortens the window.
Why do some resolvers still show the old IP?
They cached the previous answer and have not reached its TTL yet. This is normal and resolves itself; there is nothing you can do to force a third-party resolver to flush early.
Is propagation the same everywhere?
No. Each resolver caches independently, so a change can be live in one country and not another for as long as the old TTL lasts.
