Getting started with CDNShark Sync
Set-up takes about a minute.
1. Install the app
Download it for macOS, Windows or Linux from the CDNShark Sync page, or from Backup & Sync in your control panel. Windows users can also install it from the Microsoft Store.
2. Choose how to connect
On first run, pick Use my CDNShark account (recommended) or Connect a direct S3 bucket if you are bringing your own storage.
3. Sign in and pick a folder
Use the same email and password as the CDNShark control panel. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you will be asked for a code. Then choose the folder on this computer that you want synced — an empty folder is the simplest place to start.
4. Choose how your files are protected
You will be asked to pick Standard, Client-side encryption, or End-to-end encryption. This choice is made once and cannot be changed later without erasing what is stored, so it is worth reading Choosing how your files are protected before you decide.
5. Add your other computers
Install the app on each machine and sign in with the same account. Every device after the first inherits the protection setting you chose, and starts downloading your workspace.
Closing the window keeps it running in the background. Your files, status and sync folder are one click away from the menu bar or system tray.
